Further evidence that mammalian sex ratios at birth are partially controlled by parental hormone levels around the time of conception
The Galton Laboratory, University College London, Wolfson House, 4 Stephenson Way, London NW1 2HE, UK
The present note is an attempt to supplement previous argument on the hypothesized parental hormonal antecedents of mammalian offspring sex ratios. It is intended that a reader who has read both this paper and my previous paper should be aware of all the data relating to the hypothesis [James WH (1996), J Theor Biol 180, 271286].
Key words: estrogen/sex ratios/testosterone
