Notice of Retraction

A randomized clinical trial of the effects of isosorbide mononitrate on bone formation and resorption in post-menopausal women: a pilot study

Ashraf F.I. Nabhan

Hum. Reprod., May 2006; 21: 1320–1324. Advance Access publication January 12, 2006; doi: 10.1093/humrep/dei487

The journal has taken the unusual decision to retract the above paper after it has been found to involve extensive plagiarism from two different sources (Jamal et al. 2004, J Bone and Mineral Research 19, 1512–1517, doi: 10.1359/JBMR.040716; Selby 2004, Current Osteoporosis Reports 2, 101–106). The journal adheres to the guidelines of the Committee on Publication Ethics (COPE) (http://www.publicationethics.org.uk/guidelines) as set out in our instructions to authors (http://www.oxfordjournals.org/humrep/for_authors/index.html) and in keeping with this the paper has been retracted, the author banned from publishing in the journal for two years and the institution of the individual informed. The online article remains accessible but is identified as retracted.
