A systematic review and meta-analysis of randomized controlled trials on metformin co-administration during gonadotrophin ovulation induction or IVF in women with polycystic ovary syndrome

The authors wish to point out that the data from the randomized controlled trial by Tang et al. included in this meta-analysis, which was obtained following contact with the authors after publication in abstract form, have now been published in full as follows.

Thomas Tang, Julie Glanville, Nic Orsi, Julian H.Barth and Adam H.Balen (2006) The use of metformin for women with PCOS undergoing IVF treatment. Hum Reprod 21, 1416–1425, 2006.

This reference should replace that of Tang et al. (2005) cited throughout the article, and the statements on page 1389 and in Table II that this trial is published in abstract form only are incorrect.
