The present note is an attempt to supplement previous argument on the hypothesized parental hormonal antecedents of mammalian offspring sex ratios. It is intended that a reader who has read both this paper and my previous paper should be aware of all the data relating to the hypothesis [James WH (1996), J Theor Biol 180, 271-286]. Key words:
