About the Cover

Cover Figure

Cover design  The front cover of Human Reproduction shows the relationship between embryo morphology and the orientation of polar bodies with respect to the pronuclear axis. Angles were measured between the pronuclear axis and the nearest polar body (a), the furthest polar body (b) and between the two polar bodies (g). While neither the size of angle a nor the size of angle g related significantly to oocyte morphology, there was a tendency for angle a to increase with decreasing embryo quality. Angle b however showed a significant increase with decreasing morphological quality when cleaved embryos from both IVF (a) and ICSI (b) were considered (P < 0.01). For further details, see pp. 2588-2595.
