Cover design The front cover of Human Reproduction shows a 3D combined confocal image of specific immunofluorescence (green) for the endothelial marker CD31 in a capillary-like structure formed following culture of ovarian endothelial cells (HOMEC) on Matrigel. Cell nuclei were counterstained with propidium iodide (red) . The in-vitro culture of HOMEC reported on pp. 1549-1554 uses readily available tissue from routine IVF procedures, and can be applied to investigate many factors controlling microvascular endothelium.
