The front cover of Human Reproduction shows examples of apoptosis-related processes in testicular biopsy specimens from men with non-obstructive azoospermia. Simultaneous visualisation of DNA fragmentation (TUNEL, red) and phosphatidylserine externalisation (annexin V binding, green) shows DNA fragmentation only in three elongated spermatids (short red arrows) and a round spermatid (long red arrow) contrasting with double labelling in a primary spermatocyte (green arrow).
