The front cover of Human Reproduction shows an illustration of specific immunostaining for the androgen receptor in the developing testis of a nine week old male. Positive staining is visible in the rete testis and mesonephros. The Bowman's capsule and interstitial cells (Leydig cell precursors) are positively stained while the spermatic cords lack staining. For details of the implications for a role of the androgen receptor in gonadal development please see Sajjad et al., 1659-1665.
