The cover of Human Reproduction shows characteristics of blastocysts, 96h after insemination, that developed from abnormal sperm prepared from 7-week old (A-A′′′) and 6-10-month old (B-B′′′) BALB/c mice. Also shown are blastocysts from normal sperm from 9-week old mice (C-C′′′). The blastocysts were stained with propidium iodide (PI) or Cdx2 - a trophectoderm marker. No apparent differences were observed between those from normal and abnormal sperm. For more details see Ohta et al., pp. 775-781.
