The cover of Human Reproduction shows human endometrial fragments implanted into control and dopamine agonist (cabergoline)-treated nude mice. Neoangiogenesis analysis shows that not all von Willebrand Factor-positive vessels (red, arrow) in the control mice were α-smooth muscle actin (αSMA)-positive (green), indicating that both mature and newly-formed vessels were present in the lesions. In cabergoline-treated mice (at both 0.05 and 0.1 mg/kg/day), most of the blood vessels were vWF- and αSMA-positive, indicating an inhibition of angiogenesis.
