The cover of Human Reproduction shows the expression of GFRα1 (consensus marker of rodent stem and progenitor spermatogonia) and VASA (pan germ cell marker) in paraformaldehyde-fixed sections of juvenile rhesus macaque testes. The left panel shows the immunohistochemical co-staining for GFRα1 and VASA, whilst the centre and right panels show individual staining profiles for the two fluorophores.
